Beyond the water, the tour also includes a guided walk to one of Magnetic Island’s natural lookouts or walking tracks, where guests can experience the island from a different perspective and take in its landscapes, history and natural beauty. In areas such as Arthur Bay and Florence Bay, koalas are regularly spotted along the track, with your guide sharing insights into their habitat and why Magnetic Island is famous for its wild koala population. A relaxed lunch stop in one of the island’s picturesque bays completes the experience.

What to expect

The Magnetic Island Adventurer Tour is a dynamic, adventure-style boat tour. As this tour operates in an open marine environment, sea and weather conditions can vary from calm and glassy to lively and choppy depending on the day.

Guests can expect a scenic and enjoyable ride, however in moderate or choppier conditions the experience may be faster-paced, more energetic, and at times wet. This is part of the adventure nature of the tour.

Important note: snorkelling locations, the number of snorkel stops, walking locations, route and ride conditions may vary depending on wind, swell, tide and general safety conditions on the day. Management reserves the right to adjust the itinerary, route, snorkelling stops or timing of the tour to provide the safest and best possible experience.

This tour includes up to two snorkelling stops where you learn about the biodiversity of the Great Barrier Reef and marine life they call their home from experienced tour guides. You will also get the chance to join a guided walk, exploring the Island tracks with chances to spot koalas and visit the ruins of the WWII bunckers. Subject to conditions on the day. Guests should be comfortable in and around the water and prepared for a fun, active day on the boat. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Marine and wild life sightings are common but cannot be guaranteed.

Disclaimer: Snorkelling involves inherent risks and guests should be comfortable in and around the water, with a reasonable level of confidence and fitness. The guided walk is conducted on a natural, rugged track with uneven surfaces, rocks, inclines and downhill sections, so suitable footwear is recommended.

Customer-Initiated Cancellations:

Up to 48 hours before start: Cancel for a refund minus a 1.9% processing fee
Up to 24 hours before start: Reschedule or convert to a gift voucher valid for 12 months
Within 24 hours of start: Non-refundable and non-reschedulable

Weather-Related Cancellations:

- If Poseidon Adventure must cancel within 24 hours of your booking due to weather or safety reasons, we will first attempt to reschedule your booking or provide a gift voucher
- If neither option is feasible, a full refund will be provided
